SHIBORI WITH MORE THAN BLUE
with Elizabeth Cogar
Who says shibori is just an indigo thing? The Japanese form of tie-dyeing by folding and binding fabric can be done with any color! We'll break with tradition and use shibori techniques with some different hues to make textiles for your home or for you to sew.
ELIZABETH COGAR learned her improvisational teaching and making style from her artist mother. She works with textiles, exploring methods of dyeing, printing, hand-stitching and sewing, and she runs creative events under the name of Makeshop (www.makeshop.co) and sells as Yippy Skippy. She also manages Studio Two Three’s classes and Sip N Stitch group (first Wednesdays).
