Calendar May 6, 2018 at 1 pm

You know you deserve one… and you know someone else who does, too. Come make some lovely flowery headwear in celebration of spring! You’ll learn how to arrange faux florals in an artful style that will enhance the beauty of any wearer.

KRISTIN HOTT A "retired" 90's pop music drummer, Kristin Hott now makes music with color, form and history. Her hand sewn dolls incorporate vintage fabrics and buttons, and her flower crowns are bright, whimsical and Frida-esque. She makes and upcycles through her creative company, Yellow Lantern Co., from a tiny hand-built pallet studio in Mechanicsville, VA. An experienced educator and workshop facilitator, Kristin seeks out the fun and spontaneity in making and invites you to adventure along, too.

Got spring fever? With real flowers we’ll compose beautiful, one-of-a-kind prints using printmaking methods. Forage in your garden and neighborhood (or perhaps secret snip in your neighbor’s yard) for lovely flora of all types. Studio Two Three will provide bouquets of flowers to choose from, but feel feel to bring your favorite bloom, sprig or greenery.

HILLARY ZELL is Assistant Director at Studio Two Three. Hillary attended Columbia College Chicago for graphic design and fell in love with book arts and printmaking while earning her degree. She is a Richmond native that has rekindled her love for printmaking in Virginia and non-sub zero temperature winters. She spends too much money on her dog, Goose, and has big plans to maybe dye her hair pink. One of these days.
